EvanesCo designs and develops small form factor sensors which provide real-time information about the composition and material properties of fluids.  Its technology offers key advantages of sensitivity, specificity and speed of measurement.  The company, a spin out from the School of Chemistry, University of Exeter, UK, was formed in 2002.  It has unique expertise, encompassing both biochemistry and optical sensing. Trireme has helped EvanesCo secure research and development funding from the UK government. Having filed numerous patents, EvanesCo is developing a generic sensor system with potential applications in oil, food and drink, environmental, medical, defence and homeland security industries. EvanesCo is developing a range of sensors that be integrated into the mobile Trireme data management systems including handheld analysis tools using MP2, mobile telemetry using the Peak tracking units, and the Rastrac software. In addition to the security businesses, three major markets that have been identified include Energy/Oil & Gas, Environmental, and Healthcare.
